*Read this story
A teenage girl about 17 named Aisha had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Aisha asked Allah to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for Allah's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been attacked in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking Allah for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a line up to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Aisha for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Aisha was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, 'Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men (Angels) walking on either side of her. ' Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. Did you know that 98% of teenagers will not stand up for God?
Allah is always there in your heart and loves you no matter what.....and if you stand up 4 him he will stand up for you.

*Meeting people
- Give Tasleem:
The messenger of Allah(sal) was asked:
"Which Islam is good (in terms of action)?"
He said: " To feed the people and to say Salaam to those who know and those you do not know."
- Lengthen the greeting:
A man entered upon the Messenger of Allah (sal ) and said:
" Assalamu Alaikum"
The Messenger (sal) replied to the salaam. Then the man sat down and the Messenger (sal) said: "Ten".
Then another man came and said:
"Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullah"
The Messenger (sal) replied. Then the man sat down and the Messenger (sal) said:
"Twenty".
Then another man came and said:
"As-salaamu alaykum wa rahumatullahi wa barakaatuh"
The Messenger (sal) replied. Then the mansat down and the Messenger(sal) said:
"Thirty"
Look at how much reward a person inflicts himself by sufficing himself with saying only a part of the salutation. The person should say the entire salaam so that he he attains thirty good deeds.
- Smile, as the Prophet (sal) said:
Do not consider any good things as insignificant-even if it is that you meet your brother with a cheerful face.
- Shake hands,as prophet (sal)said:
There are two muslims who meet each other and shake hands, except that they are forgiven before they depart(from each other).
- Say a Kalimah Tayyibah:
"Say to my slaves to say that which is better. Verily, Shaytaan incites to evil between them. Verily, Shytaan is for mankind a clear enemy"
The prophet(sal)said:
"Al Kalimah Tayyibah is charity"
Al Kalimah Tayyibah has a powerful affect on a person- it brings peace and tranquility ti a person's soul and puts serenity into his heart.

* Anger

“…who repress anger, and who pardon men; verily, Allaah loves Al-Muhsinoon (the good‑doers).”
[Aal ‘Imraan 3:134]
“And those who avoid the greater sins, and Al‑Fawaahish (illegal sexual intercourse), and when they are angry, they forgive.”
[al-Shooraa 42:37]
This is because when a person does not restrain his anger, he insults, curses, swears and hits. Anger may be a door to all kinds of evil. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) often advised people not to get angry.
Al-Bukhaari narrated in al-Saheeh (6116) from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that a man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him),
“Advise me.”
He said:
“Do not get angry.”
The man repeated his request several times, and he said,
“Do not get angry.”
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) regarded the one who controls himself when he is angry as being the strongest of men. Al-Bukhaari narrated in al-Saheeh (6114) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“The strong man is not the one who can wrestle (fight); the strong man is the one who controls himself at the time of anger.”
One of the scholars said:
Allaah created anger from fire, and made it an instinct in man. When there is a dispute, the flames of anger are fanned until a person’s face and eyes become red, because the skin reflects what is underneath it… Anger produces external and internal changes, such as a change in colour, trembling, uncontrolled actions and a change in appearance, such that if the angry person could see himself when he is angry, he would feel ashamed of his ugly appearance and they way his appearance has changed. All of that is what happens on the outside. The internal effects are even worse, because it generates hatred in the heart, envy (hasad) and all kinds of bad feelings. The most ugly effects of anger are the internal effects, and the external changes are the results of the internal changes. All of this has an effect on the body. The effect on the tongue is that it speaks words of slander and foul language which the wise person would feel ashamed of, and the angry person regrets them when he calms down.
The effects of anger can also be seen in people’s actions, when they beat and kill. If the angry person does not have the chance to do that, he turns his anger against himself, tearing his garments and slapping his cheeks; sometimes he may have a seizure, or fall unconscious, or break vessels, or hit someone who has not done anything wrong. Whoever thinks about these evil actions will realize just how much wisdom there is in these gentle words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), ‘Do not get angry,’ and to how great an extent they protect people’s interests by warding off this great evil which may otherwise lead who knows where. All of this has to do with anger for the sake of worldly things, not anger for the sake of religious matters… (Anger for the sake of Allaah is praiseworthy and recommended, such as anger when seeing evil actions). It helps a person not to get angry when he bears in mind what has been narrated concerning the virtues of restraining anger, and the warnings concerning the results of anger; he should also seek refuge with Allaah from the Shaytaan… and do wudoo’… And Allaah knows best.”
You must repent to Allaah for any curses and aggressive words that you have uttered.
You must keep your tongue busy with du’aa’ and dhikr (remembrance of Allaah), because that brings peace to the heart
. “… verily, in the remembrance of Allaah do hearts find rest”
[al-Ra’d 13:28 – interpretation of the meaning].
Keep away from using your tongue to hurt other people.
May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad.

* Hijab for women

The next verse of Surah Noor, says:
“ And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze andguard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty andornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that theyshould draw veils over their bosoms and not display their beautyexcept to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, theirsons...”
[Al-Qur’an 24:31]
Six criteria for Hijab:
According to Qur’an and Sunnah there are basically six criteria for observinghijab:
Extent:
- The first criterion is the extent of the body that should be covered. This isdifferent for men and women. The extent of covering obligatory on the maleis to cover the body at least from the navel to the knees. For women, theextent of covering obligatory is to cover the complete body except the faceand the hands upto the wrist. If they wish to, they can cover even theseparts of the body. Some scholars of Islam insist that the face and the handsare part of the obligatory extent of ‘hijab’.
- The clothes worn should be loose and should not reveal the figure.
- The clothes worn should not be transparent such that one can see throughthem.
- The clothes worn should not be so glamorous as to attract the opposite sex.
- The clothes worn should not resemble that of the opposite sex.
- The clothes worn should not resemble that of the unbelievers i.e. theyshould not wear clothes that are specifically identities or symbols of theunbelievers’ religions.
Hijab includes conduct and behaviour among other things:
Complete ‘hijab’, besides the six criteria of clothing, also includes the moralconduct, behaviour, attitude and intention of the individual. A person onlyfulfilling the criteria of ‘hijab’ of the clothes is observing ‘hijab’ in a limited sense.‘Hijab’ of the clothes should be accompanied by ‘hijab’ of the eyes, ‘hijab’ of theheart, ‘hijab’ of thought and ‘hijab’ of intention. It also includes the way a personwalks, the way a person talks, the way he behaves, etc.
Hijab prevents molestation
The reason why Hijab is prescribed for women is mentioned in the Qur’an in thefollowing verses of Surah Al-Ahzab:
“O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing womenthat they should cast their outer garments over their persons (whenabroad); that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such)and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
[Al-Qur’an 33:59]
The Qur’an says that Hijab has been prescribed for the women so that they arerecognized as modest women and this will also prevent them from being molested.

* Women wearing jeans.
Shaykh ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahmaan al-Jibreen (may Allaah preserve him) was asked about the ruling on women wearing jeans.
He replied:
“As for women wearing pants or trousers, this is not permitted, even if she is on her own or in front of other women or her husband, except if she is in a closed room with her husband only. Apart from that, it is not permitted because it shows the details of her body and makes her get used to these clothes. So she is not permitted to wear these clothes at all.”
(al-Nukhbah min al-Fataawaa al-Nisaa’iyyah, p. 30).
Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih ibn ‘Uthaymeen was also asked about the ruling on women wearing any kind of pants or trousers. He (may Allaah preserve him) answered:
“I think that women should not wear trousers at all, even if there is no one with her apart from her husband, because this is imitating men. The ones who wear trousers are men, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cursed women who imitate men.”
